Thank Merlin things have gone back to normal. I was getting tired of bribing first years to do my laundry. And I don't think I even need to mention how much I missed food, because I think that goes without saying. It's been a long time since I've felt this full. Of course the downside to all this is we have to go back to our normal coursework, which is more work than anything else. I'm still trying to figure out if it's worth it. My stomach says yes, but my mind is saying no.

The bright side of all this is Christmas is just around the corner. Something about Christmastime just makes everything seem good and cheery, even insane amounts of work. Maybe it's the fact that Christmas leads to winter break, which means I don't have to know anything about anything for a short while. Yes, I think that might be the reason. Who else is looking forward to this lovely break?

It's snowing!!! While I hate the cold, I do like the snow. Mostly because snow leads to snowballs which lead to snow ball fights. So if anyone gets randomly hit with a snow ball it wasn't me. Nope, not likely at all.

On another note, does being likely to either burn down Hogwarts or unintentionally poison everyone by their cooking skills count as a good reason to get out of this whole chore thing? Because I'm willing to bet if I try cooking bad things will happen. I tried baking cookies once, and it took three of my brothers to put of the fire. I'm sure they'd be willing to vouch for me. Or laugh at me.

Okay, so here's a little equation that I learned:

Sap + Journal Pages = Good luck trying to separate said pages

Yes, this was something I had to learn first hand before I understood how that worked. Please don't ask how said sap got on said pages because it's pretty damn embarrassing I have absolutely no idea how such a thing could happen. NO IDEA!

On a slightly more annoying note, who else is tempted to start sending out for food? I'm seriously thinking about begging my brothers to send me something, anything other than soup and sandwiches. This strike needs to end, now! I'm hungry and it's starting to smell around here. Right about now I'm thinking I should have listened to my brothers advice and learned some domestic spells.

Okay, so next time I climb a tree, I'm going to remember to check the branches before hand to make sure they won't break when I'm climbing them. My leg still hurt, but at least Madam Pomfrey did a bang up job of fixing it. I would say I learned my lesson and am not going to climb trees anymore, but even I'm not that good of a liar. Though next time I'm not going to do it in the middle of the woods, and from so high up because that really hurt.

At least the Slug Club meeting was fun.

Why does everyone seem to hate the idea of this camping trip? I think it sounds like a blast. I mean think of it, we get to spend a weekend in the forbinden forest. How great is that?

I've already started packing. I'm really excited!

If I hear one more professor give another lecture on the importance of the N.E.W.T.'s, I take no responsibility for my actions towards said professor. I'm aware they're important, but to all the professors really need to lecture on in. One of them I can understand, but after all of them going on about it, it just becomes annoying. They should just pick a spokesperson and the let them do the torture honors.

I'm counting down until winter holiday. Is that bad?

You know, Africa say's they have such high standards of checking every ones bags and things for security reasons. But all it takes is a smile and a wink and they just pass you by. It was a good thing too, I was ready to bribe him with all the money I had on me. I'm not quite sure what the punishment is for taking animals out of Africa, but I'm sure I'd rather not find out.

It's not my fault Shiloh didn't want me to leave! And he was just so cute, looking up at me with his big eyes. I couldn't leave him. And before anyone asks, Shiloh is a Clabbert. They're just as cute in real life as in the textbooks. I just have to figure out what I'm going to do with him when school starts.

So I finally arrived in South Africa. My dad decided he was going to wait until tomorrow, and my brothers didn't plan to leave until tomorrow night anyway, so it's just me here. I can't wait to start exploring, there are so many animals that I want to see. But I think I'm going to wait until tomorrow that way I will be fully rested and I should hopefully be able to figure out how to work my camera by then. So far the only time I've seen it flash is when it fell and hit my foot. But other than that, everything seem great here.

When is everyone else arriving?

So my dad finally returned home from his long holiday. But he came home with a different girl than he left with. Honestly, he can't keep a girl longer than two months. I've given up trying to keep up. It's really annoying when your dad dates more than you. I mean, I can't remember the last time I was on a date. I really need to get a life.

But at least I get to look forward to the Quidditch Cup. They couldn't have picked a better place than South Africa. I plan on going on at least two of the hiking trails. Just think of all the wild animals there will be to see. Oh, and I'm sure the game will be nice too.

My brother is so evil! I woke up this morning to him dumping a bucket of water. He claimed that I was sleeping too much, and then, of course, he went straight back to bed. What a way to start my vacation! I must come up with some type of revenge to do in return. If anyone has any suggestions, let me know I'm too lazy to think right now. But still, being here is better than going home to an empty house seeing as my dad is on vacation with what's her name.

What does everyone have planned for summer? I mostly plan on sitting around on my arse doing nothing. Ian thinks I should be studying. Actually, I wouldn't even call what he wants me to do studying, I'd call that hibernating with books. I'm not planning on doing anything that requires me opening a book and reading. I'm saving that type of fun for next year.

I can't wait for summer break to start, just because that means classes are over and done with. And while I wouldn't mind spending the summer around the castle, I have already been informed I am going to spend the first few weeks with my darling brother, Paul because my dad and his whore of a girlfriend are on vacation. At least I don't have to stay with Ian. As much as I love him, he'd want me to sit around and study the whole time.

I know I should be studying now, but I'm currently procrastinating. Isn't it wonderful. I'm not going to get the pleasure of procrastinating next year with my N.E.W.T.'s so I'm taking advantage of it while I can.

So I guess my dad has got a new girlfriend. I'm not really surprised, it's been a month since his last one. Apparently she's the one yet again. My brother told me he met her a few weeks ago and she wheezes when she talks. I've never met the women, but I already I can't stand her. Does that make me a bad person? Either way, I hope she's not there over the summer holidays, I hate being stuck around my dad;s girlfriends, they always want to be my friend.

Bloodly Hell! I have a potions essay due tomorrow! Why didn't someone remind me? Deep breaths, I can do this. I can so do this. I don't think I can do this. Help, please. I will pay you with love and candy. And really, who doesn't love candy?
